I've just finished it. I thought it was okay - I really felt for Tib and everybody's acting was top-notch. However, Anne isn't very well-depicted, I thought. The series focuses on her different relationships but fails to develop her beyond that. She takes to studying Greek and Latin at the beginning of the series but that's about it, which made the whole very redundant and a tad boring (to me since I'm not drawn to romance).
Edit: I've just watched Revealing Anne Lister, a one-hour documentary that was broadcast just after the series and it was really very good. It had me appreciate the series even more. They insist on how ground-breaking she was in other aspects besides her open lesbian relationships (with a focus on her landowning) as well as show her flaws. Really interesting, fun documentary.
